Toby Pinn MRICSToby is a RICS Chartered Arts & Antiques Surveyor and third generation of the family to pursue a career in the fine & decorative arts. Toby created the business to fulfil an increasing demand for independent professional qualified valuations of art & antiques, primarily to assist probate practitioners and executors charged with valuing the contents of a property. The valuation side of the business is complimented by a range of services tailored to assist clients with post-valuation aspects relating to the contents of the property, including distribution to beneficiaries, arranging sale by auction and final clearance of the property where required. Formerly a member of the RICS Arts & Antiques professional board, Toby’s nationwide network of contacts means he is ideally placed to channel items to the most appropriate auction houses. A first-class honours degree in Fine Arts Valuation at Solent University inspired by the family art and antiques business was the starting point for Toby’s career. Southampton Alumni now hold many senior positions in the art and antiques industry. With over twenty years’ experience as a RICS Chartered Arts & Antiques Surveyor, Toby started his career in a regional auction house as a valuer, cataloguer and auctioneer, concluding with six years as a Director, prior to leaving to establish his own art & antiques valuation business. |
