DESCRIPTION:Richard Bullard of "IT'S IN THE BAG" the testicular cancer char
ity.  The charity has an upbeat approach to awareness\, they have reached
thousands\, as well as improving the wellbeing of hundreds of the South-W
est’s testicular cancer patients. In 2012\,they won the QIC ‘Cancer Ch
arity Initiative of the Year’ award in recognition of the real impact th
eir support activities are having on patients’ quality of life and in 20
15 won Campaign of the Year in the Bristol Post health and care awards. Te
sticular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15 to 45. Yet\, for
many young and middle-aged guys\, it’s not even on their radar. Over 2\,
500 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer in the UK\, but it is over 96
% curable and\, when detected early\, requires less treatment. Nevertheles
s\, many men don’t like to talk about their balls and find it a struggle
to go to the GP. The charity encourages men to check themselves regularly
and feel confident to see a GP if they have any concerns.
